I did a crapload of sewing yesterday!
Jun. 10th, 2007 07:19 pmA simple tote of shiny red brocade with dragons...

With some pens in it for scale...

It's going to get some sort of snap closure, I just haven't got there yet...
"Outdoor" canvas, and I actually managed to get all the stripes to line up. Sweet.
These are going to have ties with velcro to hang on to the frame, and sit above the seat that's on there now. It's got 1/2 inch foam inside, and the cat has already declared it her new nap spot. She's going to be disappointed when I take them to my sister's house...
The seat chilling on my coffee table:

Seat and back set up

The back seam, just 'cause I'm proud

I call it my Vegas Skirt, because I'm totally going to wear it when I go to Las Vegas. You can't see the sparklies too well in the pictures, but they're spread across the fabric
Basic circle skirt, waistband. It's actually two different shades of the same fabric. Stupid me, I go to the fabric store to get more and pick it up, think "hmm, I don't remember there being purple in it...well, I'm not using flourescent lights at home either..." then get home and IT IS A DIFFERENT SHADE. So I had to do panels. Fortunately, it blends well.

A better representation of color.
For now, I have this organza(?) stuff tacked in, I'm not sure if I want it as a lining or not.

Now for my conundrum....how am I supposed to hem the damn thing?????
Ack!
