I bought a couple of these pendants online:



I'm not sure how clear it is from the picture, but they're made of resin and they're pretty thick (about 1/2"). There's a hole in the top.

Does anyone have any ideas (besides a humongous jump ring, or piece of wire. I don't want it to look ugly/messy) of how I could attach it to a length of cord without it being completely hideous? I know I could just put the cord through the hole but then it wouldn't lie flat.
