Something new for me to share

Hey all!

I've been doing some sewing *when am I not sewing LOL?* It started with me wanting to do something a little different because sometimes you just need a break from the vinyl. I picked up a whole mess of this burlap like material from Hancock that is going out of business here *cheap!* and started cutting and sewing and came up with this...









I started embroidering a couple weeks ago. Oh so cute owls. I'm planning on using them in a curtain for my front window which is in the kitchen. I have to figure out what colors I want to use so I can paint in there as well.



A close up of the stitches. I really like the texture going on. I have a few other colors to add on the body and do the leaves.
