[identity profile] skwairpeg.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Hi again,

Since I would eventually like to make a little side money by selling my crafts through my website, yesterday I posted a question in a community asking if there is a place here for people to learn about driving traffic to their sites. I posed my question and included my url, which I always (or usually) do just so people know who I am.

I guess I had email replies turned off, so when I found that that post had been deleted today, I was clueless. This is what the moderator of that community said:

You must have e-mail replies turned off. Let me quote the terms of service via the community_promo bio:

"You agree that use of your LiveJournal account for posting your own advertisements or promotions is strictly prohibited. Such use of the Service may result in account revocation."

Does this apply to all LJ users, regardless of the community they are posting in? I've seen quite a few plugs for side ventures and assumed it was okay. I've read through the terms of service but I'm still confused. Bah.
