I'm stuck on a project I would really like to finish. It's right at the beginning, it's called Girl's Ruffle Sock by Bernat. It's the ruffle itself, which I knit first, then work on at the end after knitting the sock body. These are the instructions:

K1, (yfwd) twice. *K5. Slip 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th sts over first st. (yfwd) twice. Rep from * across row.

My confusion is with the yarn foreward and the following slip. It says to yarn forward twice. So do I bring the yarn to the front, then loop back around the needle and bring it to the front again? Essentially I'd create one stitch then. With the slip, do I pull the slipped stitched over the tip of the needle? I would think this was correct.

Lastly, it is ALWAYS this damn hard to knit socks? The yarn is quite fine, and I seem to be having trouble getting it to stay on the needle.

I promise to post pics when I've got it done!
