Adding heel height

There is a pair of flat-heeled sandals that I'd like to use in my Halloween costume, except that I don't want them to be flat-heeled since that makes me walk like a duck. I just want a little rise; maybe an inch. Do you think it would work to add height, like maybe with those heel-shaped discs that shoe repair places have? The soles look pretty flexible.
