so, my bro's having a kid soon (both brothers are actually, but i'm undecided as to whether i'm making the other one a quilt.. bad blood there, long story, i'm trying not to get involved), due ~feb 23rd. don't know the sex yet, but i'd really love to make them the most amazing quilt ever....


i'm inexperienced with quilts, however i am adept at sewing (been both hand and machine sewing for the last decade or more)... so, you girls have any suggestions for bright baby quilts? maybe something unconventional? crazy quilt? maybe something not too complex....

any ideas are welcome, just thought i'd put it out there.

edit: i have no idea what to do about kids, i'm clueless.... any other not so obvious baby related crafts are welcome as well : )
