So the cooler weather outside has got me thinking about holiday gifts. A few months ago my family and I decided we were going to have a "green" Christmas—in that all of our gifts we are exchanging will have some sort of environmental consciousness or benefit to them.

After doing some research about purchasing gifts, I've decided that in order to fit within the "green" category and still fit within my budget, I'm going to have to be making a lot. (Side note: why does the word ORGANIC automatically make something 50% more expensive?)

As a graphic designer, I've been making calendars for the family for the past 6 or 7 years that are a big hit (no one ever forgets a family birthday). I will be making those again this year, but on recycled paper with soy inks.

Does anyone have any other ideas? More specifically ideas for toys for any age range (I have nieces that range from 12-2 months old, so anything will probably fit someone). But I'd also like to get input for adults/couples as well. Thanks!

Thank you!
