Zippered shoulder bag
Sep. 14th, 2007 12:19 amI made this bag on a loose commission to make bags suitable for students.

It came out a lot longer than I thought it would. I haven't closed up the gap in the lining yet, I may turn it inside out and see if I can shorten the strap, but my roommate said it would be nice for someone tall to have a bag that fit them. I suppose one could always tie a knot in the top of the strap?

I love fabric paint markers. I copied the paisley from the tie, and embellished it. I'm not entirely happy with how it came out, but I couldn't add more.

The zipper and mustard-coloured lining. The outside fabric is vintage, and a bit warmer tan than it appears in the photos.
Also, I have a gorgeous copper necklace a friend gave to me for my birthday that has an issue. It's got a coating of a thick resin on it, and part of that dried up and chipped off. I want to replace it, but I'm not sure what to use. Any ideas?
