my first ever real attempt at jewelry!
Jan. 9th, 2008 01:42 pmsoo i went to micheals and got tonsssssssss of stuff. i got two sets of tools cause one had a carrying case but looked kinda shotty and the other one was mini and cute so i had to have both. i also got standard shrinky dinks, tons of charms, some beads, jump rings, clasps, chains, and markers.

this was to practice working with jumprings. i learned a lot, including that i got some crazy triple jump ring thingys that look like keyrings and i should never get them again.

it started as a bracelet and then turned into the most hideous possible necklace

i still like it though. i'll probably use pieces of it in the future.

this was made with shrinky dink. it bubbled:(

this is also shrinky dink and i learned to use very light colors because that was almost a sky blue and came out way to dark
heres what i did with it:

wicked gaudy grandma costume jewelry but thats what im into
im so pumped guys. also- we have this thing called savers here in ma. its a thrift store similar to salvation army. i went there and scanned the bags and bags of cheap jewelry for cool chains, clasps, charms, etc. and found tons of great stuff.
