Jan. 13th, 2008 03:50 pmI don't post very often. Mostly because I'm lazy about photographing things, and also because I mostly make things as gifts for my friends, and can't wait to send them out long enough to photograph them. However, this one was too funny not to share, and since I can't share it with its intended recipient yet, I will post photos of it here.
1.) Don't click if you are
ninjastyle.
2.) Don't click if you are easily upset by gore rendered in clay.
3.) There are lots of pics behind the cut.

Mmmmm... intestine-y goodness.
I made the head part first, and then decided that it was too cartoon-ish to just sit there by itself. What to do? I know... costumes!

This thing was supposed to be an x-mas gift, but I took too long. Oh well :(

For a night on the town.

Who's the blushing bride?

Okay, that's not blushing; it's just rot.

All of the hats and things fit in the little trunk. This photo was also included so you could get an idea of size (notice the coffee mug and cat "assistant" in the background).
I made the head and base out of sculpey. The head started out as a skull, which I then baked and covered with a "rotting flesh" layer. This was then baked and covered with that neat translucent sculpey, baked again, and painted many times. Certain areas were glazed for maximum grossness. The costumes are mostly made out of different fabrics, except for the mask, which is made from more sculpey. The trunk is just made out of cardboard.
