Mar. 11th, 2008 11:47 amThank you everyone for all the wonderful compliments on the jewelry I posted yesterday. It gave me inspiration to photograph all the stuff sitting in my jewelry chest that I've made :)

This was my first full-on chain maille piece :) I had the hardest time grasping the concept of 4:1 weave, until one day I was just sitting on my bed w/ a bunch of jump rings and some pliers just playing around, then *ding* i figured it out :)

This is another chain maille weave. I think it's called a spiral weave, but I'm not sure (can't find the site I used to learn the weave right now). I love this bracelet on so many levels :) No matter how it rests, you either see the beautiful turquoise or the kick ass clasp :)

I also used the spiral chain on this one. I like how this clasp looks like a tongue ring :)

I made this one when I was working at Renaissance Festival. I worked for a wire jewelry booth, and based this off of their designs and wore it as my headdress :)

Another of the bead crochet kits that I did. I couldn't resist the butterflies :) It's hard to tell from the pic, but the clap is eye & hook (where the large butterfly is)

Learned how to make this rope on About.com. I've also made these ropes and attached the glass roses (see yesterdays post for a pic of the rose. The clasp is a beaded bead that is made from using the tails of the string on each end. I'm still experimenting with the best way to do these because they sometimes will get very knotted :(

My 1st 'illusion' necklace. I learned that you should never put sharp crystals up by the clasp when there's nothing else there to hold it off of your neck :)

Just a simple black pearl w/ purple druck strand. It looks great with a t-shirt or the 'little black dress' :)

Sorry if this one looks malformed, it's from the wrinkles in the sweater :P
Mkay... that's all for now :) I will attempt to make up the tut for the beaded box chain necklace from yesterday's post, later tonight :)
