Mar. 12th, 2008 07:18 pmWith Easter fast approaching on the horizon, I have been busy making a few cards for friends and family. I only have five done so far, two are repeats, and have a few more to get done. I will be working on more tomorrow. These are what I have gotten done so far.
This one is "Show me the Jelly Beans" I drew the rabbit freehand with pencil, then used indelible marker to outline it. Next I printed it out on my printer, decreasing the size by 15%. Then I added colour with watercolour pencils and blending pen.
The lettering was stamped on.

This next card I used a 'chick' sponge sticker from Dollarama. Layering frames for the top and bottom halves of the card, I machine stitched these together for a finished look. I used a small flower punch to cut the flowers and glued them in place. The lettering I did up on the computer on white card stock and cut to fit. The saying on the inside of the card says "from one cool chick to another". This card will go to a close friend.

With this last card, I used my cricut cutter and cut out four flowers from white cardstock. I used the outlines instead of the flowers, backing each with a different colour of cardstock. Cutting the edges with fancy cut scissors, I framed these four squares on another cut of cardstock. Again, the lettering was done on the computer on white cardstock, and I chalked the whole paper to add colour.
