Big post full of craftiness
Mar. 13th, 2008 12:22 pmI contributed some items to a fundraiser to send 15 students to Thailand. Here's what I made for them:

A flowery bag with a zipper and a front pocket.

A simple zippered pouch with super soft flannelette lining.

A manly man bag in reversible plaid (the bag isn't reversible).

Pocket inside, zipper closure, adjustable strap. The little fish in the jester hat is my logo. I bought an iron-on transfer pen, it's great for this until I can get some fabric labels. Does anyone know of a good (cheap) place to get these? I don't have a printer or I'd make them myself.

I love this fabric!

Simple zippered pouch with hand-drawn wheat.

For us prairie folk.

Plain brown lining.
I've also been going insane making hemp necklaces. I tore a ligament in my ankle and haven't been able to walk very much, so it's been fun to do while on the couch.

My friend sent me these fantastic sunlight-reactive beads from a little store in Guelph.

(He bought me the sun necklace I'm wearing in this pic, I love it!)

I made these sitting out by the river on a sunny spring day. It's not usually that nice this time of year, so it was wonderful to sit out in the sun.

Clean and white, I just got this hemp and I love it. It's great to work with.

The side beads are plastic, but you'd never know to look at them. The centre bead is some kind of stone, the name of which I am not certain of.

I love those square beads!

Thanks for looking :)
