Okay I have this crazy idea in my head and I'm not sure if it will work. I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has made this attempt - failed or had success.

So, I really want a canvas type "painting" for my living room above my couch. I'm having a hard time finding the correct type of look and I think I want it to be separated, not just one big canvas. So I'm thinking three smaller paintings (15x15 and a similar pattern) spaced out on the wall horizontally by about an inch or two. I found a print online for about $15. Now there's an option to transfer it to a canvas, which would cost about $50 extra..... insane in my opinion.

Now my question is, has anyone taken a print and transferred it themselves onto a canvas. In my head I'm thinking of just taking the print, getting some modgepodge or something like a spray glue and transferring it onto a canvas. Maybe even doing some kind of matte finish brush stroke texture ontop to give it that "painted" look.

Am I crazy to think this might work or will I just be wasting my money?
