Nothing better as a birthday gift than trapping a bit of the past (thought as extinct by many), throwing in some soldiers and closing the lid tight.

An empty Compal Essential bottle, plasticine, plastic aquarium plants, tiny pebbles, a broken seashell and tiny toys produced the following:

It was a struggle not to keep this for myself, so now I intend to make more of these. ^_^;

And!
Last year, boyfriend-dearest had a short story published in a book (Contos de Terror do Homem Peixe). Being that the title of his contribution was Tentáculos, my congratulations to him came in the shape of two critters who possess said tentacles. His story was particularly about a squid, but I like octopi too, so... ^_^;

The fimo octopus. I decided to boil instead of putting it in the oven, just because:

This is how it looked, pre-boiling.

At this point, I was humming "Octopus soup, octopus souuup" to myself.
It felt like playing house, except now I'm actually allowed to play with fire.
Not that this is a gas stove, but you get the idea.

And here's how it turned out (after I painted dots on the eyes).
The picture's not very good, but I really like how it's all spotty and speckled from the boiling.

Then followed its friend, a squid, made with left over fabric from bed sheets and some yarn.

I didn't exactly get it right with the eyes at the first time, as you can see on the left image.
That's why here it looked more like a sad crossover between a pad and several tampons (due to the many strings) than like a squid! Only after I had finished it did I realize that the eyes were in the wrong place >_>;
So, I tried to fix it as best as I could (as you can see on the right). I think it turned out cute enough ^_^;

Finally, a birthday gift for a friend of mine who always thought a "bunny with an axe" was a great idea. In fact, he intends/intended to have a band with said name.

Hee, I like his tail.
Fun fact: His weapon -- not exactly an axe -- was evily stolen from a Lego knight.

And, well, that's all I have to show for now. ^_^;
Hope you liked these!
