craftgrrl | My first ami's

Three days ago I started to crochet. I really needed a hobby, and thought of crocheting, with in the back of my mind those cute Hello Kitty crocheted animals I saw in a book on the internet ones.
Hoping to find that book, I logged in on Amazon.co.uk, and searched for 'cute crochet', because 'Hello Kitty'- and 'Sanrio'- crochet gave me jack.
And I found Amigurumi books! Love at first sight!
I ordered two, I will receive them by the end of the week.
Impatient as I am, I searched online for 'amigurumi' patterns. And found a blog by Ana Paula. I soon realised I just ordered her book from Amazon, and she had patterns on her blog!
The next day, I bought some yarn, needles, safety eyes, and I started out making a bear, I did that the day before yesterday. My first crochet. <3
And today I finished a cactus, which will be used as a pincushion.
I'm so proud considering these are my first self-made 'animals'.One of the bear's legs is a row shorter then the other, but it gives him character

So...My babies!

My bear and his girlfriend: Cactus! I only forgot to attach her bow to her um..head, so I'll do that later.

And this is my happy cactus as a pincushion! Revenge for all those cacti who pricked me!
I actually had a request to make some for someone. =3

I'll be getting safety eyes in return or something

I'm going to make a bunch for myself as well!
Bigger, smaller, puffier and weird-shaped. I think I can do that! -proudness-
