Some of you might remember this piece I posted back in August 2007 - Thank you for helping me pick out a photo to submit! It was a finalist in the contest...I just got the proof for the ad they're putting my piece in a couple weeks ago :)

And here's the new one I just submitted for the 2008 FMG contest! It's a 5 layer fine silver pendant of goldfish - the fish are accented with 22kt gold and there's a paua shell for the background. It took about 2 months to make, on and off. The hardest part was not carving the goldfish, but making sure all the discs were the same size and all of the holes were in the same areas (so I could rivet/wire them together). I initially wanted to use cold connectors to put it all together (jewelry screws), but I couldn't find any I liked. :)
