Silk

I'm looking for a good source for silk ribbon to string my lampwork glass beads on. I am planning to dye it myself. Problem is, I can't seem to find the stuff at my local fabric shops. Does anyone have an online source for ready to dye silk ribbon that is in Canada? I don't want to pay duty charges, I've been burned a few times when ordering from the US.

Also, if anyone has done this before and has any tips or things I should know... please feel free to pipe up. I haven't really done much dying of any sort, I have a few tutorials to go on, but anything you wish you'd known before embarking on ribbon dying... or buying ribbon... ? :) Thanks in advance girls!
