A knitting challenge!

Deep Sea News, whose RSS I read, has issued a challenge for the creation of a knitted Osedax worm (aka "bone-eating zombie worm"!) and a knitted giant isopod. Are there any science-minded knitters that want to take them up on it? I may be able to manage a half-decent zombie worm, but the isopod is far beyond my skills. I bet they would be equally happy with a crocheted one.
