Craft stuff accomplished over a 3 day weekend:
-----
Finished 1/4 of the pieces for my woven quilt
-----
Started and finished a Blue Alpaca Leno Lace Shawl on my Tri-Loom:

Yarn: Lavish Alpaca Bulky Weight
Yardage: Something less than 4 Hanks, but more than 3
Notes: Crocheted Edge
Technique: Plain Weave, then squish together the threads in every 5 nails, starting in the middle, threads for the Leno Lace each cut separately...
Next time, I will try the Leno Lace Thread as all one piece to avoid having to deal with all of the ends.
Finished Product:

The shawl was blocked by pinning it to the carpet.
I was going to add silver e-beads, but couldn't figure out how to hide the knots from both sides of the shawl...
Overall... I liked this project and LOVE the yarn and I'll probably do some tweaking on the technique when I do it again.
-----
Had a small Kool Aid Dyeing Accident:

Solution? Get a bigger Dye Pot!
And I got my first shipment from the Cottage Fiber Roving Club: "6 times a year you will receive 4 oz of hand-dyed merino roving in a variegated colorway of our choice. In addition, you will receive a second ball of roving dyed in a single color that coordinates nicely with the variegated selection."
I have figured out that I don't draft very well, so I tried just dividing the roving until I got the thickness I wanted. Apparently, if I divide the roving in half 5 times (down to 1/32nd of the original thickness), it turns out about like I want it to:

I'm going to try plying the hand-spun yarn with some sport-weight acrylic yarn left over from a previous project.
Goal: I'm going to try to use up some of my stash of crafting supplies before I go get more. I'm declaring a moratorium on craft purchases this quarter (I signed up for the roving club back in March...). All of the items used this weekend were purchased before April 1st...
Over all, it was a very accomplished weekend!
