AHH!!!

Back in November, my husband and I got a puppy. Long story short, it didn't work out... and we gave her to our neighbor. I had completely stopped crafting because I didn't have time for anything. I desperately want to get back into it but everytime I start crocheting, I never finish because it takes too long and I get distracted. What can I do that will be nice and quick and easy... and that will get me back into crafting??? I was thinking about painting... but I'm so bad at it that I would probably get really discouraged if I worked hard on something and it didn't turn out right. Then I saw this on ebay... I don't know what is involved in glass etching, but can I just paint this?? What kind of paint does it take to paint on glasses and then could they go in the dishwasher? Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)
