Okay, so school's officially out. Chicago is warming up. And one of my best friends asked me to make her this dress out of some material she had. Well, she actually had the patterned material from an old dress, & we found the seafoam green at JoAnn's. I love when you find the perfect match like that.

I'll do the t-shirt first. This was for a good friend's birthday. I'm sure at least some of you are on Facebook. You know how there's approximately 2,000 stupid applications? Well, we have that one called "Lil' Green Patch" or something where you give each other these really stupid looking plants. When you give so many, you save a square foot of rainforest. Or so they say. Whatever.
Point being that there's special "monthly" ones. April was this horrific little thistleman. For some reason, we got in the habit of literally sending more than our limit [over twenty] to each other ever day. The application is slow & obnoxious, & we both have several hundred thistles. And her shirt was born.
I was very happy with how it turned out. It's the right color, the stencil I made [yeah, so I guess it's not technically screen-printing, but I used Speedball ink still haha] worked wonderfully, & she loved it. WIN.

Anyway! Back to my dress. I slapped this beauty together in just over an hour, & I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. My own pattern, blahblah. She wanted it for church tomorrow morning haha.

And there's some of the detail if ya want.
