Necklace with chains and wooden pieces

craftgrrlWhat's the best way to attach wooden pieces (about the size of a Scrabble letter) to a chain for a necklace? I'm pretty sure there are tiny screws with loops on the end, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to attach those. Is there a better way to secure a loop to a (fairly solid) wooden piece? THANKS!
