i havent posted anything in a while, but heres some stuff i had to do for a class last quarter (it was water based media if youre wondering)

this measures 36" by 50" (basically 3x4 feet) and its made from the little holes you get when you use a hole punch. i think theyre called chads. this project completely took over my life for 2 weeks, not to mention my hand was bruised from hole punching that much.

and the following images are inspired by bestill (she posts journal entries that look very much like an artists book; shes posted recently). ive been following her for a while and i LOVE the way her journal looks, so i decided to try something on my own. its in the form of a book about "the academy is..." (its a band) and their first full length cd, "almost here". it devotes one spread to each song and im in love with it :) all the words to each song are on their page, except for words that repeat themselves, which are only written once. i used a combination of acrylic paint, acrylic inks, watercolor, collage, sharpie, stamps, and gluing things on (such as yarn, chain, glass marble things, flat wooden pieces, etc) the book measures 12" x 18" closed, 24" x 18" open, so its of good size.
