Awhile back the president of my company asked me to help with an art project for our new offices. The new offices had to be remodeled and a brand new data center was built in one of the buildings. One of our interns took pictures throughout the process.

There were a couple of doors leftover, and the president of the company had an idea to use them in some creative way. We came up with a project to use a couple of the extra doors as picture frames to house the pictures from the remodel. They're going to be hung on the wall in the break room, one in each building.

I just finished them this weekend:

First Door:

Second Door:

I designed the pictures so that they could be lit from behind. I haven't decided the best way to do it, though. I think rope lighting might work, but I'm not sure if it would get too hot.

I'm still debating whether to remove the hardware from the second door, or whether to leave it. I have no idea how they're going to manage hanging them on the wall. I'm glad I don't have to figure that part out. These things weigh half a ton each, at least.
