Lining a scarf
Jun. 30th, 2008 09:00 pmThis is a pretty stupid question, but since the project is going to be a gift for a friend, I want to make as sure as possible that I don't mess it up. :)
My question is about lining of knitted things. I've made a scarf, and I want it to be lined on one side. (It's my version of a pi scarf and the lining is going to have either numbers or the pi symbol on. Eee.) So what I wanted to know was: is there anything I need to know about lining a knitted item that is in any way different than lining a non-knitted item? You still just fold over so there's a seam and then sew it, right? And should I go for/avoid any specific fabrics? I'm guessing lycra is out, hahah, but is there anything else I should know?
