Well I was all excited because I bought some great fabrics yesterday and set to work on a lovely pattern for a lunch bag.
It didn't take me to terribly long. A few hours to cut out and machine sew everything, and that was even after screwing up the first lining.
I just finished it and realized it's really small. It only has a hight of about 4" for the contents to go in. basically it will fit one sandwich container OR my soup thermos OR or some yogurt and fruit but it will only fit one at a time and working a manual labor job I feel I will Probably eat at least a sandwich AND a piece of fruit for lunch for heavens sakes.
So now I have this sort of cloth basket about 4" high and 6" wide and I haven't the foggiest what to do with it. It's insulated with insulbright if that gives anyone any ides. I guess I could use it as a bowl cozy on hiking trips, maybe? Or maybe it could hold pencils? Anybody got any ideas?
BTW this is my very first machine sewing project so it's not spectacular.
