Star Jar

So for my boyfriend, I'm making a star jar with little origami stars inside it (black, dark blue, lighter blue, purple, and yellow) and I'm going to attach a note to it. I've already made the jar, but I'm stuck on the note. I'm writing in a non-English alphabet, and I want to have it on something other than just plain paper. How do I attach it? What do I put on the paper? Like a border maybe, but what kind? And how would I fold it? I was thinking some kind of origami fold, but I feel like that'd be too hard to open and it might mess up the prettiness of the script. I don't want to just fold it in half though, I don't think.
