Jul. 11th, 2008 08:36 pmHey!
Haven't updated anything here in awhile. I missed you all!
Here's a pretty large batch of monsters and other things I've been working on lately. :D Sorry if I've posted any of these before!

Oatmeal, the Cookie Hoarder

If you find your cookie jar empty some night, think twice before blaming the kids.
There have been many rumors circulating that Oatmeal the cookie hoarder was about. Multiple cases have been heard about him chasing girl scouts down the street while they were going house to house selling cookies. He once cleaned out an entire bakery of all its goods, cookies, muffins, cakes and all. Because of his brown and black colors, he's able to curl up and camoflauge easily. He is only noticeable by his rainbow eyes and bright blue tongue.
The only thing that can slow down the cookie hoarder is sugar-free treats! Sneak some of these in the top of your cookie jar and it will render him (harmlessly) unconscious until the next morning.

12 inches tall

Yellow Yeti commission

About 10 inches tall

A giant, 2 foot tall Weeko monster commission.. my biggest, well.. ever!

He was too big to fit in my lightbox, so the pictures are kind of grainy & awful. :(

Baby versions of my weekos! Only four arms & one tooth. & they're about half the size of the normal sized ones, so theyre about 7 inches tall.

Another huge monster, the Kreeks

2 ft antlerspan, 12 inches tall

The Kreeks are three conjoined brothers. Kai, Kale & Kaim. Three different brains, but they share all of their organs. They're very kind to strangers, and to their owners, but when left alone they will fight and bicker and try to bite each other. The only thing that saves them from pulling each other apart is that they are constantly tired and sleep for 18 hours throughout the day.

A pink monster girl with curly ram horns & glasses. :D
My Little Monster- Konka

Konka is in need of constant entertainment. He's bored easily, and has the same, half asleep expression on his face most of the time. He's a big responsibility to anyone who wants to take him home. Bungee jumping, hang gliding, sky diving, he's done it all. Go ahead, impress him.

13 in tall, 20 in antlerspan
A remade version of one of my older monsters

12 in sitting. It sits nice on ledges. :D

Four monster babies with some bliiing. I had a little bit of gold vinyl left so I put gold on small parts of each one. My favorite is the one with the gold teeth. :D
All the monster babies went to new homes, so I made a pair of a mom & baby monster

The Snex

Snex are quiet, and gentle creatures. Don't let their many sharp teeth fool you, they're not dangerous. They're only used to frighten off predators, and believe me, they have many. Natives of their country say that the Snex taste like a combination of cocoa beans, bananas and peaches, which makes the Snex the ultimate delicacy. Sadly because of this, their numbers are rapidly declining. I found these two Snex hiding in a rock face, huddled and hungry, trying to eat rocks for food. I brought them home with me, and they are now looking for new homes and would love to come home with you!

About 6 in tall

A green happysad cat. He's called this because there's velcro under his mouth & you can flip it around to change his expression. :)
Multiple mustache kittens! One mustache for the everyday, and one for fancy dress.

Bence, boy of bears. A remade plush in salmon pink for someone.
Bence was a child who loved bears. He owned every book on them, a self proclaimed expert. Everywhere he went he wore a white bear suit with little brown paws. One day, Bence discovered a bear cub going through his garden. He followed it to its den, and persuaded the bears to let him live with them, in exchange for teaching them the human language, and a supply of his mothers pies.
About 10 in tall, & sooo much tedious little pieces. D:
PANDABEES. Was a commission, so she chose the colors...

From deep in the supposed jungles of china, comes this rare and endangered species, rarely seen by human eyes.
Decades ago, a beehive lost its queen in a tragic accident in which a panda sat atop her. Confused on what to do, the bees named this panda their new queen, and soon .. many pandabees were born!

About 12 inches from head to end of stinger

Giant panda commission

12 in sitting. I gave him some nice blue paws & a blue tongue to keep him from looking too normal & boring. :D

Garreck the Grizzly Bear kid. About 13 inches tall.
I think recyclings pretty sweet so I tried taking these two old teddy bears from a thrift store and revamping them into creepy but still kinda cute monsters

The big ones almost 100% recycled materials, the littler ones a bit less.

Teek & Took

Xek

A beanie pair for a wife & husbands anniversary. :D :D About 10 in tall

Baby ninja turtle & card & plush cake for my best friends birthday!

Giant pile o monsters bristol board drawing! Gonna frame this soon & put it up somewhere in my apartment.
I don't pretend to be any type of photographer, I just find it fun. I'd love any suggestions for a new digital camera because mine is friggin terrible and adds this lovely layer of grainyness to every picture I take. :(
I took all these photos cause I live down the street from this awesome river with rapids and cool looking jagged rocks and wanted to take pictures of some of my monsters "in the wild."

& I made up these little "How to" kits for baby yetis! All illustrated & everything. Was kinda fun. :)

ahh okay thats it! :D
