 Hi everyone! *waves*

i just found this community viacraftster.com, and I'm super pumped about it.

this is more art than craft and it's not half as cool as most stuff i've seen on here, but i figured i could get some feedback and advice.

i live with my boyfriend and our married roommates. they have a pug that we all just adore. he's old and we always joke that he is an all-seeing oracle. they also have a cat and we have a new kitten. i'm very into virgin mary paintings and we were all sitting around one night and i got the idea to recreate a virgin mary painting i have hanging up and make their pug the virgin and make the cats cherubs. i started it as a joke doodle but my boyfriend and roommates loved it and encouraged me to make it into a painting.

i have since started painting it but i can't get the colors i want. i have repainted different parts like 100 different times and i'm never happy with it.



the cats wings and the pugs crown are an antique gold, the roses are red and the halo around his head is turquoise with royal blue as the thin stripes around his head. i cant figure out what color to make the thick stripes though! it's making me nuts and frustrated.

anyone have some ideas as to what other colors i should incorporate???

i've hit a road block and i really just wanna finish this damn thing.

also, what do you guys think of the drawing?
