I had a few new comments on the post I made a long time ago about the Super Mario Brothers scarf. I stopped working on it for the longest time because it is SO EFFIN TEDIOUS. And loooooong.

But a recent conversation with my boyfriend inspired me to get movin and finish it. He and I have been together almost three years and started discussing marriage a few months ago. He told me that if I finish the scarf by Thanksgiving-ish that he'll propose to me at Christmas. Talk about some serious motivation.

I picked up my needles this week and got to work. So here's where I'm at.

I'm at the first jump over a hole. (Refer to the map image above) So much more to go! Yikes!

Also, my LYS informed today that either the store or Cascade is discontinuing the color of blue I'm using for the sky so I stocked up on a slightly different color (the LYS is having a MAJOR sale this weekend). It's noticeable, but with the amount I have left to do I figure it won't make that big of a difference overall.

And one last thing, I started a blog on Blogger to document my progress as well as other nerdy things I've knitted. They've all been for my nerdy boyfriend so there's no selling or anything like that at the blog.
