Resin casting
Aug. 4th, 2008 06:54 pmHello, first post to the community~
I picked up some resin today, as I was very curious and eager to use it.
I'm planning on making dogtags to go on my dog's collar, since she keeps losing her store-bought ones. (the little tubes with a piece of paper inside)
I immediately hit a snag though; the saleswomen didn't have a CLUE how to use it :/ The instructions are straightforward enough, but they don't mention what kind of material the mold has to be. I've been googling, and found silicone and rubber, but that's rather expensive for the small things I'm planning to make :P So, any other suggestions?
Then the second problem; it has to be attached to her collar of course, so it either has to get a hole in it with a ring, or I have to embed a ring in the mold itself.
Long post, I apologize! But help would be greatly appreciated ;)
