calling all knit kittens....
Apr. 10th, 2003 10:12 pmafter much talk of how i was going to do this, i'm FINALLY ready to make the most kick-ass tube top to grace the face of the earth: i've come up with a design that will have david bowie's face knitted into the front. however, to get enough detail, i need at least 75 stitches across the front (which is a bit tricky, considering i want it to be rather tight). so my question is:
what is the finest yarn you have all worked with, and how tight a gauge where you able to get with it? i'm trying to avoid the hassle of buying a bunch of different kinds of yarn and experiment (i'm impatient, and mr. bowie needs to grace my bosom NOW). and does anyone have any suggestions for a super-soft lightweight yarn?
thanks in advance!
