Skull jewelry
Aug. 28th, 2008 05:36 pmI posted pics of my beads I'd made, but never actually showed off the neckace and earrings I made out of them.

ON

this is just a pendant I made by squishing one bead (uncooked) between two flat marbles and joining them with a twisted piece of polymer clay. Strung on a faux hemp line.
I also painted a T-shirt for my husband's birthday.
It's an idea that's already been done, but I loved it so much that I had to make it my own:

I created a stencil on contact paper and cut it out with an X-acto knife, then (kept the backing on the stencil so I can use it again another time, maybe...) dabbed the red paint onto the shirt through the stencil. It only made a faint transfer, so then I went over it again with a paintbrush, let it dry, then did the grey outline, which I think makes it stand out a lot more than if I hadn't done it. It's a little disproportionate at the top, but once I realized it, I was too far into it to care a lot.

at the bottom of the shirt, I painted little splatters. They're shiny from the flash but in person, it's pretty cool.
