[identity profile] missh.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
For my sister's high school graduation I decided to make her a t-shirt quilt. This was less difficult than I thought but a lot more time-consuming. (Duh.)

While I chose old shirts that had belonged to us, I wanted to use their graphics and colors as design elements rather than showing off the shirts in a more intact manner. The backing is fleece, and I can provide a tutorial if anyone wants it.

Here's a closeup of the center square, embroidered in a tribute to her college choice, an old pickup line, and a Silver Jews song we both like a lot.
