So, today my boyfriend and I laid our hands on four perfectly good chairs and a dining room table for 50 bucks. (Well, that and a couch for $100 bucks but my mom bought it for us, thank you mom).

This is the fabric I chose to reupholster with its a Japanese kimono silk brocade. We have an Asian theme in our apartment.

This is the original chair. Its um... interesting to say the least.

Some stains on the fabric and not enough padding.

During the painting process out on the apartment patio. They are going to be thrilled about the little bit of over spray that didn't make it onto the plastic drop cloth.

The boyfriend helps with the painting process. Mostly because I suck at the painting (and see the balcony of our crappy but affordable complex already looks trashed so I really don't feel too bad about the over spray).

So the painting isn't fantastic because well I suck at spray painting. Next time brush paint all the way or something that can be stained instead of painting but I like it. I also added padding to the chairs because they were a little flat.
