toxic?

hi grrls,
i have another question concerning fimo / polymer clay.
i heard that after baking it in the oven, the oven needs to be cleaned very carefully because apparently the fimo is toxic?
if so, would it be bad to use cookie cutters to cut out shapes? - cutters which i then still want to use for cookies, that is.

also, what kind of colors would i be using to color some salt dough objects?
