Cape for Halloween?!
Oct. 29th, 2008 04:10 pmI'm desperate because I have two tests to study for and a cape to make by Friday. My sewing machine is broken and this needs to be done by hand. Or something...
I am going as a modern/i'm too poor to care about making this look completely accurate Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I need a red cape to make me look regal and break up my mostly black outfit. I was thinking a waist or mid-waist length cape that simply fastens in the front either by button or a ribbon tie. How do I go about making a cape. Is it crazy simple and I'm just stupid?
I'm not looking for a hooded cape either. Just a simple shawl type thing. I'd try it myself but I can't afford to waste my red sateen fabric and it come out wonky and looking like I threw a yard of fabric around my shoulders.
Help?!
