craftgrrlI'm making soap, but when I tried to make the lye mixture, it formed a rock hard crust on the bottom of my stainless steel pan.
I used 28 oz of cold water, slowly added 12 oz of lye while stirring, and then let it sit outside for a while until it cooled off.
What did I do wrong? How do I dissolve it?
