Jewelry Making

When I was in high school I took a metal crafting class and I loved it. Pretty simple stuff; rings, pendants, etc. using silver. I would love to make some more things on my own, but I'm having a little difficulty figuring out where to begin. I can't remember most of the technical names for the equipment we used, and Google is choosing not to be helpful right now. (Or, my brain isn't working properly due to the hour and being sick.)

Does anyone know of any resources/sites/etc. that could be of use to me in this area? Right now my main interest is in ring making, if it helps. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! I think I just need a nudge in the right direction. :)

(My apologies if I missed anything in the Memories. I did look, but LiveJournal has been awfully screwy the past 24 hours or so, hasn't it??)
