Today, my mom and I went shopping at Wal-mart so she could buy some yarn to crochet a baby blanket for a friend of ours, and I found Sparkle Mod Podge on sale. So, of course, I grabbed some. Then, we were at the checkout counter and I saw a Handy Stitch for ten bucks. I showed it to her to give her a visual (I'd been talking about buying one for weeks to learn the basics of sewing on a machine), and she grabbed one and bought it for me! I love my mom.
So, I came home, and since I can't quite get the hang of the sewer yet, I decided to have a little fun with the mod podge. I couldn't stand my kitchen clock, so I fixed it. It was a boring tan color with a white face. This is it now.

(please forgive cruddy image quality, my cam sucks)
I painted it all with Apple Craft Acrylic in Fuschia, then mod podged magazine clippings onto the face, painted the hands with Apple's Petunia Purple, then covered the whole thing with two more coats of the mod podge. You can't see the glitter on these images, but it's really awesome looking in person.
And that's my crafting adventure for today.
