This year I really want to make something that will mean a lot to me symbolically: basically it's a box, and if you open it, a paper inside tears apart (sort of like the codex from the Da Vinci code... not meant to be opened by force). So how can you crafty people help me figure out a contraption? I was thinking it would be best to attach one end of the paper to the lid and one end to the other side of the box so that when you open it, the paper will rip... but that feels like a really clunky solution. Thoughts?
