I've been working on this on and off all week. It's a Jack Frost mask. A little late for Christmas, but I procrastinate.

The mask is made out of a lightweight paperclay. I sanded it down a little when it dried and brushed on a few layers of gesso before painting. The base color is a very, very light shimmery blue with the eyes a slightly more pronounced blue (with silver sparkles) and silver around the cheeks. It's increadibly difficult to photograph properly.

That's a string off the felt backing you see, not a crack in the mask. Didn't realize it was there until after the pictures and after I pulled it off, I couldn't get another really good side photo of the nose.
It must have been a magic felt strand.

The ribbons were mostly from a hodge-podge ribbon bag Joanne fabrics sells with all their remnant ribbons. The smallest ones you see are actually an increadibly light shade of lavender that looks totally awesome with the rest of them. The blue is some kind of funky yarn I have in vast quantities that's been missing it's label for the last year so I couldn't tell you what it is in the least.
All told, I'm quite pleased with it. ^.^ What say you?
