So I was thrift store hopping this weekend, and I bought a bunch of shirts. One of these shirts happened to have shoulder pads and that gave me an idea.

Meet Shoulder Pad Sue, an unemployed Shoulder Pad Monster. Back in the 80’s, when shoulder pads were all the rage, Shoulder Pad Sue was famous. She was always invited to all the best superstar parties and most nights you could find her living it up on the dance floors of the most fashionable clubs.

But then, times changed. Suddenly no one wanted to hire Shoulder Pad Sue and she fell on hard times. She shaved off her feathered hair, tossed out her curlers and makeup and fell in with the wrong sort of crowd. But the money ran out and Shoulder Pad Sue realized she needed to find a purpose in life. So after a brief stint as a Tibetan nun, here she is, returning to the spotlight as a beautiful, scented sachet.

Her front and back (and no I don't know how that picture ended up sideways. O.o) are made from a pink shoulderpad. Her eyes are two of the buttons off the shirt and her nose and bottom, which you can kinda see in the next picture...

are made out of vintage fabric my mom bought in the 80's for a quilt she never actually made. XD

Shoulder Pad Sue is filled up with some corn cob potpourri (100% natural. Aint it neat?) scented with Spiced Apple. ^.^ I'm really very proud of it. What say you?
