craftgrrlThis is going to be an ongoing thing. I'm planning to do portraits of my nephews next.
This is a picture I took of a friends little girl at her first dance recital. I think it translates well to the embroidery. The color was done with Prismacolor pencils and set with a textile medium.
It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the embroidery thread for the dress is the pearlescent white to give the effect of the same shine as in the picture.
