Feb. 11th, 2009 07:19 pmHi! I haven't posted here in a really, really long time :(
BUT! That means that I have a few things that I can showoff you all!
I like knitting toys - I guess it's what I spend most of my knitting time doing. I had planned to make both of the boys from The Mighty Boosh, but I got distracted and only have Noel so far -

LOL, it is a vague kind of nod at Noel, I guess - I'm not sure if you can see but the doll has bright blue eyes, a big nose and goth hair so I think I did not too badly!
The second doll from the same pattern (pasic person pattern from World of Knitted Toys, if you're interested) is Boss Hogg from the Dukes of Hazzard. My mum's partner is OBSESSED with The Dukes, so I made him this for christmas. I could not for the life of my figure out how to knit the hat, and it was 11:30pm on Christmas eve so I just had to crochet something that looked vaguely like a hat -

Seeing as he was a gift and I wasn't entirely sure how I would wrap him, I decided to make him a little box that's meant to look like a framed confederate flag on a wood wall - the general lee had a confederate flag on the top of it, I'm not just strange :)

And here he is in his little box :D

I was sick all last week so decided to knit something that I didn't have to pay much attention to; a scarf. I used my noro silk garden that I got for my birthday in October and I really wanted a pattern that would show off the beautiful colours - so I found this:

I only had two balls of it, so I wound one the other way to make everything nice and symetrical:

Ok, that's it for now - thanks for looking!
