Ideas for old tights

craftgrrlCouldn't find anything in memories...
I have lots of pairs of old tights with holes - some are thick wool/cotton ones and others are those sheer beige nylon ones. I did a quick search online for things I could do with them but very few of the suggestions were about things I could make. Any ideas?
