I have this couch and chair set, you see, and I bought it at the Salvation Army.  While is is a GREAT living room set and exactly what I always wanted in a place to plop my butt (wooden frame from the 80's or so that the cats can't scratch up, with cushions), the cushions are leaving something to be desired.  They are really flat and not too fluffy at all.  Does anyone have experience in reupholstering things or making new cushions?  I've been looking into foam by the yard but it is INCREDIBLY expensive, even WITH 40-50% off coupons.  Would I be ok with taking the cushions I already have and just adding a few more wraps of batting to the decade(s) old foam and then recovering them?  Would this be a feasable idea or am I just fooling myself in the hopes of saving money.

Also, has anyone here ever repurposed a blender into a fish tank?  Yes. A blender into a fish tank.  I want to make one for a friend who has a bachelor pad but am unsure of the schematics of it.  I found one someone had made on an old blog but it didn't give specifics, just  showed it with the motor removed and a light of some sorts put in where the motor had been.

I apologize for the text-only... I've been slaving away on product for my next convention (I'll be in the dealer room at Tekkoshocon, selling handmade cat ears and tails)  and showing photos of the same thing in a million different colors is kind of boring.

Thanks in advance for any insight!
