pattern drafting-- 3-D challenges
Mar. 16th, 2009 02:16 pmI'm attempting to make a rather large dragon marionette. you know, one of those big puppets that you can make walk beside you, bobbing its head. Like this guy but way cooler. Anyway, I'm starting from scratch, so I'm drafting the pattern right now, but I'm stuck.
Problem: his legs. They need to attach on the side of his body but the feet should be flat on the floor. Can I do that with two pieces? Or should I make the feet separately and then attach them to the legs? Anyone who makes plushies or dolls have an idea for how to do this?
